Corporate Wellness Magazine sat down with Rebeka Hollós-Zsiga, Wellbeing Lead at Play’n GO, to discuss her inspiring journey from sports enthusiast and psychology graduate to becoming a Certified Corporate Wellness Specialist (CCWS). Her story is one of persistence, passion, and purpose—blending personal growth with a mission to redefine employee well-being in a digital-first workplace.
CWM: You mentioned that your passion for both sports and psychology started early. How did that shape your career journey?
Rebeka Hollós-Zsiga: From a young age, I’ve been passionate about sports and later pursued a degree in psychology, always dreaming of a career that could merge these two fields. However, like many, my career path was not linear. I explored various roles but struggled to find my true calling.
It wasn’t until I became a Workplace Coordinator at Play'n GO—a global leader in entertainment for the casino industry—within the Employee Experience team that I started to see a clearer direction. Many of my responsibilities revolved around employee well-being, sparking my interest in this area. I began exploring training opportunities, feeling deep in my gut that this was a path I wanted to pursue.
CWM: What led you to the Certified Corporate Wellness Specialist (CCWS) program?
Rebeka Hollós-Zsiga: Shortly after delivering my baby, I discovered the Certified Corporate Wellness Specialist (CCWS) program and decided to enroll during my maternity leave. It was a period of significant change—not just personally, but professionally. My company had transitioned to Digital-first, closing its offices and embracing remote work. I saw this as a prime opportunity to advocate for a wellbeing role, which at the time didn’t exist.
The CCWS course became a turning point. Through a year of hard work, dedication, and continuous learning provided by the Corporate Health & Wellness Association, I was offered the role of Wellbeing Lead. It was a moment of profound fulfillment, and nearly a year into the role, I’m excited about the initiatives and opportunities that lie ahead.
CWM: What are your main priorities as a Wellbeing Lead in a digital-first organization?
Rebeka Hollós-Zsiga: In a digital-first, globally distributed company, my primary focus areas in 2025 include fostering Psychological Safety and shifting the narrative from work-life balance to work-life harmony. I aim to demonstrate how individuals can thrive in a digital-first environment by integrating their personal and professional lives seamlessly.
The industry, fortunately, is evolving to support wellbeing from within, emphasizing education over external perks that may have limited long-term impact. This is a philosophy I passionately advocate for, even when securing buy-in from leadership proves challenging. But challenges are part of the journey, and the CCWS program taught me that in corporate wellbeing, there are no absolutes. Much like a chef experimenting with ingredients, we try, learn, and refine until we create something that truly resonates. The key is to celebrate small wins and embrace the unknown.
CWM: How would you describe your overall philosophy when it comes to corporate well-being?
Rebeka Hollós-Zsiga: Corporate well-being is, at its core, about people. It reminds us that while we come from diverse backgrounds, we share fundamental needs. My goal is to help build a company culture where parents don’t miss their children’s milestones, where employees can prioritize fitness during their workdays, and where managers lead with empathy—seeing their teams as individuals rather than mere resources.
CWM: What impact has the CCWS certification had on your career and outlook?
Rebeka Hollós-Zsiga: The CCWS certification arrived at an unexpected time but provided the direction I’d been seeking. Since then, I’ve helped create initiatives that bring well-being closer to people and embarked on a journey of lifelong learning in a field I believe to be one of the most impactful.
CWM: Finally, what advice would you give to others looking to develop wellness programs within their organizations?
Rebeka Hollós-Zsiga: My advice is simple: start. Don’t let setbacks or uncertainty deter you. Your program will grow alongside you and the people it serves. Remember, we’re all human first and employees second. With that perspective, you’re already on the right path.
Corporate Wellness Magazine thanks Rebeka Hollós-Zsiga for sharing her inspiring journey and reminding us that true well-being begins when organizations empower individuals to thrive—both personally and professionally.
